How to Guarantee Success in Evangelism get_app

Published: May 8, 2020

How would you define success in evangelism?

Read 2 Corinthians 4:1-6.

How does verse 2 inform us NOT to share the gospel?
(Disgraceful, underhanded ways; practicing cunning or to tamper with God’s word)

What would be examples of this form of evangelism?

What does Paul say we SHOULD do when sharing the gospel?
(“By open statement of truth, we would commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God”)

Why does Paul say we shouldn’t be concerned if we proclaim the good news and people are not saved? (Even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing)

Paul says that those who hear and don’t believe have been blinded by the enemy; so, how do we respond to this?
(We pray that God would lift the veil of unbelief and allow them to see the truth of the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ.)

How does verse 5 guarantee success when sharing the gospel?
(If we proclaim Christ, not ourselves, then Christ will be honored.)

Whether people repent and are saved or walk away unaffected, Christ is honored when we proclaim him; so, the only way to be unsuccessful is to NOT share the gospel.

Close by praying for the boldness to share the gospel with those people that you have identified that need to hear it.
