Music and Worship
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." - Colossians 3:16

Worship ChoirWorship is not meeting together in church on Sunday morning; it is not a style of music, nor is it an action such as raising one's hands. Worship is not an emotional experience, though one may, indeed should be moved emotionally while worshipping. Worship at its core is a lifestyle that daily sets all that we are and all that we have at the feet of Jesus for use as He sees fit. When this is the pattern of our lives, then we have no choice but to truly worship when we come together with other believers. Here at FBC, we strive for this mindset to characterize our every action, including our music. It is our desire that our music program fulfill the two-fold challenge found in Colossians 3:16 - (1) to make the word of Christ dwell in us richly, and (2) to teach and admonish one another in the ways of the Lord.

At FBC Piedmont, you will experience a blended worship style using a combination of choir, praise team and soloists accompanied by a full rhythm band. During the holiday seasons, our worship ministries combine to present special concert events with full orchestral accompaniment. If God has gifted you with an instrumental talent, please contact our worship leader to see how you can serve in our praise band, or as part of a small ensemble. If you are a vocalist, or just have a desire to lift up His name in praise, please join our adult choir every Wednesday night at 7:00 PM. We look forward to worshipping and praising with you!
